Two Community Outreach Officers are required, to join the innovative Sustainable Swansea initiative. The post holders will deliver the “Get Sust!” project.

Community Outreach Officer (Digital Media & Mapping)
Job reference: GSDM  Salary: £21,000 per annum, pro rata
Hours: 14 hours per week  Contract: Until 31st March 2011 Initially
The successful candidate will have a high level of ICT knowledge including website management and digital media and be confident to deliver training to a wide range of people. An ability to enthuse, involve and communicate as well as the ability to liase effectively with a wide range of individuals and organisations will be needed in this post.

Community Outreach Officer (Footprinting & Activities)
Job reference: GSFP Salary: £21,000 per annum, pro rata
Hours:  21 hours per week  Contract: Until 31st March 2011 Initially
The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of environmental sustainability and be an experienced community worker with project development experience.  Ideally you will have experience of carbon footprinting and running environmental events.

For both posts a willingness to explore innovative approaches to the successful delivery of the project is required. The successful candidates will be able to use their own initiative and have a proven ability for imaginative problem solving. The post will require a degree of flexibility, including a willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
